Scholarship description

The Fulbright scholarship program aims to foster leadership, learning and empathy between cultures. THE scholarship program is sponsored by the US Department of State and is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate studies abroad.

The Fulbright scholarship program was established in 1946 by the U.S. Congress to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. The scholarship is awarded to around six thousand US students each year. Please note that The United States Department of State reserves the right to alter, without notice, participating countries, numbers of awards, terms of agreement, and allowances.

Successful applicants are U.S. citizens, who will have obtained a bachelor degree by the beginning date of the grant. There are not specific discipline requirements attached to the scholarship program.

For more information about the Fulbright scholarship program, please refer to the scholarship website.
