Program description

The minor Public Health is an English-language minor for Dutch and international students of Nursing and Health Studies.

You will acquire knowledge and skills to become a novice public health practitioner. The first 10 weeks of this minor the essential elements of public health and the process of public health are taught in order to write a community action plan. During the second 10 weeks skills training is offered to become culturally competent and learn about leadership, collaboration and agenda setting. During this second period, you will do a public health assignment for an external customer. International students may restrict their application to the first ten weeks.

Knowledge of research methodology, critical appraisal and interest in health care Able to read, write and speak English (Dialang B1)
