The master's programme Water Science and Management gives an in-depth understanding of modern water management techniques and water policies from a sustainable development perspective.
You will gain an understanding of water's role for mankind and nature and the societal impact of interventions in the water cycle.
The master programme combines academic knowledge of natural sciences and technical water management options with process and project skills, culminating in a research internship at a water management organisation.
Water management in a wider context
The programme focuses on knowledge of physical water systems and on technical opportunities and developments in water resources management. You will also become familiar with relevant legislation, governance frameworks and the organisations involved in national and international water policies in order to use your knowledge of water systems in the context of societal processes.
The programme includes hydrological processes, climate change, water footprinting, cost reduction, health aspects and water safety, as well as technical developments such as membrane technology, water/energy combinations and water cycle management.
