Program description

The master's degree in Romanian Language and Culture is a continuation and extension of a bachelor's degree. The training centres on the Romanian language, the Romanian world in the modern times (nineteenth and twentieth century) and on the historical development thereof. You pay attention to the spoken and written command of modern Romanian and to the stages this language went through. Romanian was influenced by various other languages, like Slavic, Turkish, Hungarian, Modern Greek and German. You also study modern and historical linguistics and literature. And you also pay ample attention to the (cultural) history.
