In the Master in musicology: education and communication you gather in-depth and specialized knowledge in the field of musicology and history. You also learn how you can bring knowledge and insights into educational practice. You will be trained to teach the teacher and to link theory to practice. Sometimes it is possible to follow a track, focusing on international and bilingual education. This track is called BITEP. This two-year program is offered by the Department of Foreign Languages and the IVLOS. In the first year you take courses in professional teaching you will study the applicability of the infrastructure musicology. In the second year you take educational courses at the IVLOS. You will attend teacher training courses where you learn about different learning and teaching methods. There is a strong link between theory and practice, because you run multiple internships at various high schools.
