Program description

The MSc Multidisciplinary Economics puts you at the forefront of the latest economic theory as you refine your expert research skills.

Today economics is a complex discipline that touches upon many other fields of study. And the MSc in Multidisciplinary Economics gives you valuable Economics expertise at the same time you gain interdisciplinary research skills that enable you to solve wide-ranging economic issues.

This two-year Research Master's offers the latest methods and models of economics, taught by acclaimed researchers from USE. Compulsory first-year courses are devoted to topics like econometrics and multidisciplinary micro- and macro-economics. In the 2nd year your electives, Multidisciplinary Research Project and thesis enable you to consolidate your research skills with insights from your secondary discipline (law, history, geography or social sciences). You also have an opportunity to take on an internship at a research institute or company.

'The multidisciplinary nature and structure of this MSc means you have freedom to follow your own interests; an excellent way to become a well-prepared researcher with a broad view of economics.' - Mark Kattenberg, alumnus.
