Program description

This three-year programme is mandatory in the training of medical doctors. The programme is taught in Dutch, and is open only to those who have a fluent command of the Dutch language.

Before you can consider yourself a medical doctor, you first have to complete the three-year Master's in Medicine. In the course of this programme you will develop yourself from a medical beginner to an aspiring medical professional. You will put your medical knowledge, skills and professional conduct into practice in a clinical environment. In addtion, you will learn to handle complex health issues. Theory is part of the curriculum, as well as recent developments in health care and society, but from the first year you will also be working as an intern in various hospitals. An internship in an international hospital is an option from the second year onwards. Countries participating in the international programme include Surinam, South-Africa, Great Britain, Sweden, the US and Germany.
