Program description
Modern technology plays a decisive role in corporate development and the competitive positioning of firms, not only in traditional technology-based firms but also in companies in financial services, l
Management of Technology is concerned with exploring and understanding technology as a corporate resource that determines both the strategic and operational capabilities of the firm in designing and developing products and services for maximum customer satisfaction, corporate productivity, profitability and competitiveness.
Companies are trying to address challenging questions such as:
* How do the abundant technological opportunities affect our mission, objectives and strategies?
* Which technology do we need and when?
* How do we procure the technology needed, by ourselves, through cooperation, through purchasing?
* How do we implement the required technology in our operations?
In order to answer these questions companies need a new breed of managers. The MSc in Management of Technology (MoT) is an international programme for students with a background in a technology field or the natural sciences. In this two-year MSc programme students will be equiped as managers for competitive, technology-based companies who are as adept in technology as they are in traditional business skills.
Objectives
Management of Technology graduates have demonstrated an appropriate range of cognitive, critical and intellectual skills, research skills and relevant personal and interpersonal skills in Management of Technology. These skills are applied in highly technology-based, competitive environments, especially to the technological domain of their Bachelor degree.
