Program description

The master's degree in Celtic Languages and Culture is a continuation and extension of a bachelor's degree. The training centres on the Celtic languages, literature, culture and art history and archaeology of the Celtic world. The Celtic languages represent an independent group within the umbrella family of Indo-European languages. Nowadays Celtic is only spoken on the British Isles and in Brittany. These so called Celtic insular languages consist of six language variants. In the training the emphasis is placed on the two main representatives: Irish and Welsh
