Program description

Central to this master program in History are the political relations between states, international organizations and power blocs in the past two hundred years. That makes this master unique in the Netherlands. The emphasis is on the period after World War II. You can explore topics such as the Dutch foreign policy, colonialism and decolonization, human rights and international security. The program is offered by the Department of History of International Relations. The Department of History and Art is also involved in this program and has an extensive staff with internationally recognized expertise in teaching and research. If you have a unlimited world view and if you are interested in everything to do with international relations than this is the master for you. Graduates may aspire to a career in international diplomacy or journalism
