Program description

During this unique master's programme you analyze systems for supply, storage and communication of information based around intelligent communication between humans and computers.

Technological advancement results in computers being able to analyze their surroundings through video or audio, understand human language from texts or recordings, or gather and combine information from various sources on the internet. Human centered multimedia focuses on what people need and how technology can help to achieve their goals. This makes the end user the starting point for human centered multimedia. Creative minds will be inspired by the vast possibilities that technology offers. That's exactly what we want with the Human Centered Multimedia programme: help you create innovative solutions. We will lead you through the latest research at our institute: visualization technology, information retrieval, the semantic web, mobile systems and cognitive tools. We will also prepare you to research your ideas and provide a solid theoretical foundation for them. This will develop your academic thinking and help you write a compelling thesis based on your own research.
