Program description

Computational science is a relatively new discipline and involves the modelling, simulation and analysis of world phenomena through computation.

Would you like to confront a tornado in virtual reality and predict its intentions? Or understand the behaviour of financial markets? Are you interested in being part of a team that can teach you how to take on these challenges? The answer is our two-year international Master of Computational Science. Computational science is a relatively new discipline that has established itself as the third pillar of modern science (alongside theoretical and experimental science), and involves the modelling, simulation and analysis of world phenomena through computation. Modern science has opened up new windows onto the physical and social sciences, earth sciences and life sciences at many levels of scale. Understanding this complexity is one of the biggest scientific challenges of our time. As a computational scientist you can be at the forefront of work in this field.
