The programme, which has two specialties, takes a unique approach, integrating various economic domains with information and communications technology, informatics and information sciences. Prepare yourself for a career in one or more of many fields: business organisation, management control, business accounting, IT governance, business security, logistics planning, or micro- or macro-economics. Work in finance, accounting, or academia.
The School of Economics at Erasmus has a top teaching staff. The challenging programme will prepare you to create models and solve problems with computer-science methods, and to manage ICT in a business context. It will also give you solid communication skills and a strong foundation in project management.
The MSc in Informatics & Economics offers two Master programmes: computational economics, and economics and ICT.
The master's programme Informatics & Economics concentrates on information sciences and the integration of this discipline with various applications within economics. In contemporary society there is a substantial, structural need for university-trained information scientists that can apply the potential of ICT. Business applications are a major category in this.
