Program description

Architectural Design Management Systems (ADMS) is a two year postgraduate technological designers program part of the 3TU.School for Technological Design, Stan Ackermans Institute (SAI).

Process innovation in the construction industry is urgently needed in order to answer the questions posed by the current housing situation. The Architectural Design Management Systems program provides an excellent opportunity to do so.

Through a better understanding of the business aspects of architectural design processes, you will be able to prepare a better design that is more transparent and puts an emphasis on good communication and cooperation with all the parties involved in the project.

This saves time for the integrated design team and allows for better reflection on sustainability, energy, flexibility, health and other aspects. Over the last 15 years, the output of the ADMS-training shows a clear added value for the organizations and companies involved as well as for program graduates.

For 2 years you will be a Technological Designer and paid employee of TU/e, Architecture, Building and Planning department.

The post-Master program Architectural Design Management Systems is a subsidized two-year design course for university graduates to develop competencies in process design and design management. Graduates will be able to model design processes of large, complex building and construction projects as well as to manage the design teams of these projects.

Admission requirements

Previous education

M.Sc. diplome in; 1) Architecure, building or planning; 2) Civil Engineering; 3) Industrial business or organizational Science.

Professional experience

At least three years of practical experience as an architect or project manager that can be proved by letters from companies that hired you

Knowledge minimum

Graduates have to be employed in the Netherlands.

Language test

Sufficient knowledge of the Dutch language
Sufficient knowledge of the English language (IELTS test or TOEFL test).
