The Research Master Behavioural and Social Sciences is an English language programme and is designed primarily for students who are interested in pursuing a career in scientific research.
In the Research Master's programme, students are prepared for a career in science in one of the following areas: Social and Organizational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Sociology, Education and Development or Psychometrics and Statistics. Together with their personal supervisor, students determine the focus of their own individual programme of study so that it suits their ambitions, talents, and interests. Supervisors are internationally acknowledged researchers who fit students' specializations and interests. One of the supervisors' tasks is to provide guidance and support in study and career planning. The programme takes two years (120 ECTS). The content is as follows: › General course that provides an overview of research within the Graduate School for Behavioural and Social Sciences 5 ECTS › Other courses 45 ECTS › Literature studies 15 ECTS › Traineeship 15 ECTS › Seminars 5 ECTS › Master's thesis research project which may be extended to a proposal for a PhD project 35 ECTS
Previous educationUniversity BSc in psychology, sociology, pedagogical or educational sciences.
Knowledge minimumSufficient qualifications in statistics and the sciences that are relevant for the programme and a suitable attitude, motivation and talent.
