Program description

The bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy centres on the examination and treatment of children and adults with problems in the area of voice, speech, language, hearing and mouth functions.

You learn to improve communication disorders. In this context you will deal with, for example, stuttering, pronunciation errors, chronic hoarseness and communication problems after a larynx removal or vocal chord paralysis. Loss of language after an intracranial haemorrhage and difficulties with linguistic understanding are also discussed. You also work with children with swallowing issues. You also learn to provide speech counselling to children with language development disadvantages and to deaf and hard of hearing children and adults with language and speech difficulties. You provide information to clients and people in their direct environment. After this training you will be a speech therapist.
