Program description

You are drawn to studying and investigating international relations and the role of international organizations in an integrated manner from historical-political, economic and legal angles.

The BA program in International Relations and International Organization takes three years and is of an interdisciplinary nature, in other words, the program is provided by different faculties. The political history modules form the core of your degree programme. The law and economics modules that you follow in addition are essential to understanding current international politics.

In the first year, you will follow core modules, such as history of international relations, introduction to law, introduction to economics and political science. In addition, you will train your written and oral skills and you will start learning a foreign language of your choice (French, Spanish, German or English). In the second year, you will deepen your knowledge of the political history, economics and law components.

You will also carry on with your foreign language. In the third year, you will be able to specialize in one of the following topics: international security, international political economics, European cooperation and integration, safety and theory of international relations, international order and global governance. In addition, you will choose a Minor in another discipline. You will round off your degree by writing a thesis.
