Global Law helps you acquire the skills you need in order to work in large organizations and in interdisciplinary teams. You will learn to find the law, explain it to others, and comment on it.
The world is changing fast. Businesses are shifting their horizons and going abroad more and more. Large international organizations and law firms need lawyers who are not afraid of complex cases involving many countries.
During the Global Law program, you will view law and legal cases form a completely new point of view. In each subject, the global point of view is assumed. This way, you learn to look at law from outside of just one jurisdiction, and in stead are able to analyze and criticize it. This will give you the tools you need in order to work on the legal department in a business, work with professionals from different disciplines, and lead and advise teams.
When you have a previous Bachelor's degree in a different field, such as for example economics, sociology, liberal arts, you are eligible to be exempted from first-year courses. This means you will be able to complete the program in two years.
During the first year, you are introduced to law, and in addition you become familiar with other fields. This will provide you with a broad basis that will help you in your career: you will be able to communicate effectively with experts from different disciplines to come to solutions. Additionally, we aim to train lawyers that are able to transcend borders and view legal cases with an open mind and a transnational perspective. In Global Law, you will become a lawyer of the future!
