The bachelor's degree in Dutch Language and Culture centres on the Dutch language and culture as from the Middle Ages up to and including the 21st century. You analyse and interpret literary texts from the Beatrijs and Karel ende Elegast up to and including the poetry of Gerrit Achterberg and the historical novels of Thomas Rosenboom. You will also deal with linguistics and language command. Linguistics centres on the structure, meaning and sound of language. Language command focuses on the study of text production and text processing and on the development of linguistic skills. After this training you can enter the labour market or you can opt for a master's degree.
