Program description

The bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Culture centres on the (affiliated) Arabic languages that were or are spoken and written in, mainly, North Africa and the Middle East. You basically study the various spoken languages and dialects, like Hebrew, Aramaic or Akkadian. But modern standard Arabic is also discussed. Via Arabic you gain insight into the historical and cultural backgrounds of the Islam. After this training you can enter the labour market or you can opt for a master's degree.
