Advanced Technology is a unique bachelor's programme offered only at the University of Twente. It is unique because you get to deal with several disciplines at the same time instead of a single one.
Advanced Technology is a young and practice-based English taught programme with an eye for societal needs. In order to come up with truly creative solutions you need a wide scope without being 'trapped' in one single discipline. That is why you will combine knowledge from different domains, such as electrical engineering, chemical engineering, applied physics, mathematics, mechanical engineering, and business administration.
During this programme you will regularly find yourself in completely different settings. You will be constantly challenged to find innovative and unexpected solutions to new problems. In projects you will combine the theoretical knowledge acquired from the different disciplines. In so doing you will notice that you will need all knowledge in order to successfully complete your assignments.
All by yourself you will be tackling problems that would normally require a physicist and a mechanical engineer as well as a management consultant! What is more, you know how society can have maximum benefit from your solutions. That makes you a fine liaison officer for the world of business.
