+ Master Education Fair Prague Czech Republic - Testimonials
ESSEC Business School
“The organization is excellent not only before but also during the fair. I was very much impressed and I have never experienced such a professional fair. My expectations of the fair were to have 30 contact sheets by the end of the day and even though I haven’t counted them yet I think that the expectations were exceeded. I was very surprised to see so many students who had interesting questions or who had already looked up the website. I would certainly recommend the MASTER AND MORE fair to Business Schools and other international institutions who are interested in reaching a pool of young graduates.”

Country info: Education in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, higher education is provided through a unitary system with no strict distinction between academic education and higher professional education. Some programmes have the characteristics of both higher professionally oriented education and university education. Examples include teacher training for primary education at universities. Although education is provided in the Czech language, there is a slow but steady trend towards English - taught programmes in higher education due to the influence of the Bologna process.
Admission to Higher Education in the Czech Republic
In order to be admitted to some programmes at higher education institutions in the Czech Republic, prospective students must take an entrance examination. In many cases higher education institution takes into consideration the results from secondary school. Prior to 1990, the number of places on offer and relevant admissions procedures were centrally regulated by a special Ministry of Education commission; since 1990, institutions/faculties have been responsible for t he entire admissions procedure.
This category comprises institutions with Czech traditional names su ch as univerzita , akademie , vysoké učení technické , vysoká škola . The universities are made up of various faculties, which have a limited degree of freedom and autonomy. They offer Bakalář , Magistr and Ph.D. programmes. Master programmes culminate in the academic degree of magistr , magistr umění , i nženýr , inženýr architekt , doktor medicíny , doktor zubního lékařství or doktor veterinárního lékařství depending on the field of study. The universities apply a comp etitive selection policy. There are three broadly oriented, traditional universities: Univerzita Karlova v Praze (Charles University in Prague, the oldest, established in 1348), Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci (Palacký University in Olomouc) and Masarykova Univerzita v Brnĕ (Masaryk University in Brno).
