International Education Fair Turkey - Event Details

Welcome to the annual International Education Fair in Turkey taking place from 11 to 18 March 2017. For over a decade, this event has attracted thousands of students and scores of top international schools, colleges and universities. This education fair tour is the only event in the country supported The Association of International Education Counsellors of Turkey. The tour covers the major student cities in Turkey: Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul. New this year is the Mini College fair in Bursa.

The International Education Fair Turkey is an ideal opportunity for international education instutions to meet with the countries best school leavers and university graduates. The event consists of one on one sessions, interviews, seminars, presentations and workshops.

Over the past decade, the International Education Fair Turkey has attracted over 550 steady exhibitors from 17 countries (Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Singapore, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, USA, & the UK). Furthermore, a wide range of international institutions, counseling agencies and the local & International sponsors will be participating. Finally, the world's leading study abroad organizations will be there (Austrade, Victorian Government Business Office, CampusFrance, Fulbright, US Embassy, US Consulate, UED, DAAD, US Embassy, etc)

This year's edition of the International Student Fair in Turkey promises to attract thousands of students and scores of international universities and colleges. Students may look forward to a range of presentations, workshops and one on one meetings and interviews with top international universities and business schools.

Country facts
- The population of Turkey is over 75 million and teenagers make up 30% of Turkey's population, two times higher than EU average.  
- Each year over 1.5 million Turkish students take the National University Placement Exam, but only 30% of them are placed in a university in Turkey. This means that many students will be looking to foreign institutions for admission.  
- In 2010, 1,587,993 students took the National University Placement Exam and only 327,869 students were placed in 4 year university in Turkey.
- Turkey's political stability and recent economical improvements have made study abroad more accessible to students.
- One out of every two students in Turkey believes that a language, certificate or a diploma program is a must to build a strong career in Turkey.  
- In 2011, Turkey was the 7th leading country of origin for Intensive English Programs, as released from Open Doors Data.
- Since January 2004 the number of Turkish students studying in Canada has increased significantly. The number of long-term study permit authorizations increased by 14.72%.  
- Based on our past experience, we believe that Turkish students are playing an important role in enhancing student diversity on school campuses all over the world.   
- Turkey is a member of NATO and the only Muslim country with a secular, democratic government. It is a modern environment in which schools can feel safe and can access regional markets conveniently.
