Why take part in the International Schools Forum Gulf Region?
Students are going abroad at an ever younger age. They do so in order to study a language, gain international and cultural experience and to study a particular subject. In the Gulf Region preparations for future studies start at high school. In fact, it has become part of the curriculum. Students and their parents often turn to high school counselors for help in the search for the university or college that best fits their needs.
This makes these counselors an invaluable asset for international institutions who are keen to understand market demand and tap into an influential audience early in the student journey.
Unique Proposition
At the International Schools Forum you will be given an exclusive opportunity to meet over 50 counsellors and principals from renowned international and private high schools from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
You will hold 15 pre-scheduled private meetings with education experts who will help you become familiar with their institution: from academic quality to service provision.
This is your chance to reinforce your brand and your unique educational offering with a focused opportunity to widen your network with influential principals and school counsellors who actively prepare and advise their students on the next stages of their academic career. On top of that you will be able to participate in important career development seminars.
Combine the International Schools Forum with the Education Fair in the UAE to bolster your international student recruitment activities. This event takes place from 5 to 15 October and takes you to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Student Recruitment in the Gulf Region
Of all the Gulf region countries targeted in the online fair, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE are the best know student recruitment markets. According to the Unesco, the Gulf region sends close to 70,000 students abroad each year. Kuwait, Oman and the UAE account for 75% of that number. But Qatar and Bahrain have started to close that gap. Both countries continue to move from an oil-dependent economy to a more knowledge based one. And international education at home and abroad is taking a driving seat. In the field of higher education we see the arrival of foreign universities offering courses both in partnership with domestic universities as well as at their own local campuses.
