Why take part in the Higher Education Workshop Indonesia?
The Higher Education Workshop in Jakarta Indonesia takes place on 2 and 3 November 2023. Internalisation of the higher education sector has taken center stage in Indonesia’s government higher education policy. To help drive this ambition, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republik of Indonesia (MoECRT), is proud to invite Universities and National Groups around the world to attend the Indonesia Higher Education Workshop.
This is a niche event that begins with an opening cocktail reception followed by private pre-scheduled meetings the next day with 15 universities of your choice.
Participants be able to select the specific high school representatives you wish to meet and pre-organise all of your appointments via Marcom, the online scheduling system.
At the Indonesia Higher Education Workshop, International Universities will meet with their local counterparts to discuss areas of mutual interest, exchange, student mobility and internationalisation. Importantly many local Universities will be seeking opportunities to explore TNE projects and agreements. All meetings are prescheduled prior to the event.
Event program
Each participating international education institution will be able to:
- Pre-organise appointments with Indonesian Universities of their choice
- Hold 15 private meetings over the course of the event
- Network with all participating counsellors during the lunch & coffee breaks each day
- Participate and network during the Cocktail Reception and Gala Dinner
Student recruitment in Indonesia
According to UNESCO data, the number of Indonesian degree-seeking students enrolled overseas has grown by nearly 62 percent since 1998, reaching a high of 55,000 in 2022. This growth made Indonesia the third-largest sender of international students among ASEAN member states behind only Vietnam and Malaysia.
