University description

Transnational University Limburg (tUL) is a unique collaboration of two universities in two countries: the University of Hasselt (UHasselt) and Maastricht University (UM). This is an extraordinary example of tUL internationalization of higher education in Europe since the tUL organizes research and education on two campuses in two different countries.

Expertise in teaching and research within the University of Hasselt (UHasselt) and Maastricht University (UM) is combined to reach optimal results for its students. New courses are being developed with interesting specializations, based on the expertise of the Hasselt University and UM. By the cross-fertilization between the two universities, innovative and interdisciplinary research lines have been started.

Transnational University Limburg offers master degree programs in cooperation with Maastricht University and Hasselt University in Belgium. This makes Transnational University Limburg a truly international university. Graduates will receive an official research university degree.
