National Scholarship Program

Scholarship description

The National Scholarship Program is responsible for administering scholarships that enable students to be supported in bachelor, master and PhD studies. The scholarship program applies to Qatari citizens only.

Successful bachelor applicants to the National Scholarship Program meet the following requirements:

1. Be a Qatari citizen
2. Be in the possession of a high school certificate or its equivalent during the last five years
3. Apply to a program at a university on the list of Sheikh? Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani? scholarship
4. Obtained admission for a program at a university on the list
5. Not have a degree similar to the one applied for
6. After graduation the scholarship recipient must work in the service of the State for a period equal to the scholarship period
7. Passing of a personal interview

Successful master and PhD applicants to the National Scholarship Program meet the following requirements:

1. Be a Qatari citizen.
2. Have obtained a bachelor degree if he apply for master's degree and have a master's degree if he apply for PhD.
3. Apply to a program at a university on the list of Sheikh? Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani? scholarship
4. Scholarship recipient must obtain an acceptance of a university on the list.
5. Not have a degree similar to the one applied for
6. After graduation the scholarship recipient must work in the service of the State for a period equal to the scholarship period
7. Passing of a personal interview
