Scholarship description
Jahresstipendien scholarships are awarded to bachelor and master students for performance studies at a recognized universities abroad. The scholarship program applies to German students to wish to study abroad in any world region. Stipends may vary but amount to approximately 500 euros per month.
The Jahresstipendien scholarship is awarded for one academic year. Only in exceptional cases this can be prolonged to 2 years. Western Europe (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Malta, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Cyprus), Turkey and North America, Latin America and Africa are ruled out for an extension.
Successful applicants to the Jahresstipendien scholarship are bachelor or master degree seeking. Applicants must convincingly demonstrate in the application, the added value of studying abroad in relation to the individual course of study. Participation in an integrated or international degree course alone is not sufficient to justify the intended studies. The choice of a particular foreign university and / or a particular foreign supervisor or a supervisor should be justified in detail. This is especially true if a stay is planned in Western Europe; as for studies in this region have a variety of other support options available.
