Program description
The Corporate Finance and Banking program is designed to train top talent in the areas of Corporate Finance, Banking and Regulation. Its aim is not just to teach current best practices, but also methodology on how best practices may adapt as circumstances change.
Specifically, faculty and visiting industry practitioners in the Corporate Finance and Banking program will focus on advanced valuation and hedging methods, and on enhancing student's fundamental skills in the areas of financial intermediation; for instance, in credit analysis, governance assessment techniques, and in commercial and investment banking. Business case analysis will be integrated with a more analytical approach drawn from state-of-the-art corporate finance research. Students will emerge from the Corporate Finance and Banking program with an advanced ability to analytically approach financial decision making in corporate finance and governance, in banking and in regulatory finance.

The Duisenberg Leadership Program is a core part of all Master's Programs at DSF. In order to fulfill the school's mission to create financial leaders, students will take courses from the Leadership Program throughout the duration of their Master's study. These courses are dedicated to building leadership skills in finance.
Degree Information
The programme in Corporate Finance and Banking is the result of a co-operation between VU University Amsterdam and Duisenberg school of finance.
The curriculum was devised in close collaboration with the VU and the programs will be conducted at Duisenberg school of finance as part of the VU Master of Finance program.
Upon successful completion, the student will receive a certificate from Duisenberg school of finance and the title Master of Finance from the VU University Amsterdam. The title of Master of Finance is in accordance with the Higher Education and Research Act.
Duisenberg school of finance is a new top academic institution in the Netherlands. It is currently following the procedures necessary to obtain permission from the government to independently grant academic titles. At the moment, the title is awarded by VU University Amsterdam, although by 2012, Duisenberg school of finance expects to receive authorization to independently confer academic titles.
