Program description
The Computer Science program of Delft University of Technology aims to educate the computer scientists of tomorrow.
The objective of the MSc program in Computer Science is to prepare students to become professional computer scientists with the knowledge, capabilities and attitudes that they will need to participate (either alone or in cooperation with other specialists) in solving problems in society, science or institutions (whether private or public). Master of Science graduates have the ability to update their professional knowledge continually and to acquire knowledge independently from related fields within their disciplines.
Students can choose any of the following tracks:
Bioinformatics
Leiden University and Delft University of Technology offer the master track in Bioinformatics. Within both master programs the high profile subjects are combined. The focus of this track will be on Data Analysis and Modeling.
Information Architecture
Information Architecture (IA) is a multi-disciplinary master's degree track. It is a collaborative programme of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science (EEMCS) and the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM)
Media & Knowledge Engineering
Media and Knowledge Engineering educates engineers who are able to design and build intelligent systems for information and knowledge processing and who are able to design, realize and test properly working intelligent user interfaces.
Software Technology
Computer Science is about designing software for technical systems. Computer science engineers design communication protocols by which computers communicate, adapt complex algorithms to work on parallel or distributed systems, or develop logistic algorithms for practical planning problems.
Subjects
Software Engineering (SE); Parallel and Distributed Systems (PDS); Algorithmics, Computer Graphics and CAD/CAM (CG) and Information Architecture (IA)
Objectives
To educate computer scientists which have such professional knowledge, capabilities and attitudes as to be able to take part, alone or in cooperation with other specialists, in solving problems which arise in society, science, or in private or public institutions.
