Program description

Artificial Intelligence focuses on designing and implementing intelligent systems. Main themes:autonomous perceptive systems, cognitive robotics and multi agent systems. (for example software agents).

The master's degree in Artificial Intelligence is a continuation and extension of a bachelor's degree. The training centres on the development of intelligent equipment, like robots, knowledge systems and multi-agent systems. You learn to design autonomous systems (robots) that can learn, reason and cooperate and adapt to a dynamic environment. In this context you often use people or animals as a source of inspiration. On the one hand you create smart applications with the help of techniques from informatics and logics. On the other hand you get to know more about the mode of thought and behaviour of people and animals as you imitate this in an artificial system. Applications vary from planning and analysis to image recognition, from traditional board games to modern computer games, and from searching information to data mining.
