Program description
The programme, which is unique in the world, is a combination of public air law, private air law and space law, both from an international and a European perspective.
The programme is aimed at law graduates who wish to pursue an advanced master's study at postgraduate level, as well as legal practitioners in internationally operating companies or organisations.
The programme has a clearly defined European dimension and, without neglecting academic levels, pays specific attention to professional applications, particularly through its internship requirements.
The students get a fair amount of research practice during the courses. The programme has been running since September 2000 and was internationally accredited in early 2007.
Admission is limited to a fixed number of students, to ensure that the department is able to devote sufficient time to each student and to provide in-depth class discussions.
Objectives
The programme is designed for students pursuing careers in law firms or in consulting firms having aviation and Space Law practice; legal departments of airports and airlines; aerospace companies; civil aviation authority or ministry of transportation authority in their own country; international, regional and national organisations as well as for practioners in air and space law.
