Program description

Trade Management for Asia is a broad study programme covering all aspects of international trade. It aims to produce future managers who are versed in all aspects of international business.

In the course of the studies TMA students will encounter a multitude of disciplines, such as marketing, export, sales, communication, logistics, law, economics, business ethics, intercultural and cross-cultural management, international entrepreneurship. The profile of the TMA student is based on competencies which are defined after intensive consultation with the international business world and society, taking into account the knowledge, skills and attitude needed by professionals in the field of international trade and marketing. A TMA graduate is flexible and ready to travel extensively in positions entailing frequent international contact. In many cases your home base will be outside the Netherlands. The TMA programme perfectly caters for this aspect by offering students the opportunity to participate in foreign exchange programmes and placements in Asia. A graduate of TMA can find positions as, for example, Area Manager, Import/Export manager, Consultant, Commercial Manager, Account Manager or positions at embassies or consulates in Asia or in the Netherlands.
