Program description

The bachelor's degree in Philosophy centres on the views of the old and present-day philosophers. Western philosophy was born about 2,500 years ago in Ancient Greece (pre-Socrates). Plato and Aristotle are considered the first systematic philosophers in the history of the western mode of thought. You learn to shape your own mode of thought so that you can analyse practical issues originating from life and society. In this context various disciplines of philosophy are discussed, like logics, ethics, epistemology, scientific philosophy and social philosophy. After this training you can enter the labour market or you can opt for a master's degree.
