Program description
Rotterdam University and Erasmus University jointly offer the Academic Pabo teacher training program. If you are dreaming of a career as a teacher with an academic background, we have the program for you.
The Academic Pabo teacher-training program is a combined course of Educational Sciences by Erasmus University and the Pabo program by Rotterdam University.
When you complete the program you will have a Pabo bachelor degree and a university master in Pedagogy and Education. You will be qualified to teach at all levels in primary education. You will have acquired scientific knowledge and skills in the field of education. This makes the program ideal for students who are interested in educating children or wish to be involved in research and innovation in education.
The Academic Pabo program takes five years to complete. Four years for the Pabo track, which will grant you a Bachelor of Education degree. In the fifth year you will study at Erasmus University in order to obtain your master in Child Development and Education.
