35.000 international students decide to study in the Netherlands each year. They choose the Netherlands for a variety of reasons: the number of high quality international study programs, the international atmosphere of the country, its central location in Europe, to name but a few. It is a fact that the Netherlands have a lot to offer to international students. Studying in the Netherlands is an experience for life.
Adriana Angelova’s Study in the Netherlands Experience
Let me begin by telling you all a little bit more about myself. My name is Adriana Angelova. I was born and raised in Bulgaria, in a city on the Black Sea shore, called Varna. I have been living in the Netherlands for almost three years now and it feels like my second home already.
My time in the Netherlands has been very rewarding; challenging but also full of opportunities for my personal development. I just love the student life here. Everyone is outgoing, open minded and tolerant. I made many friends from all over the world. I learned a lot about different cultures and I really appreciate the new horizons that opened up to me.
If you are reading this, you probably heard that the Netherlands are about “partying, cheese, flowers and windmills”. Well, believe me, it has so much more to offer than that, although the parties are really good here. The country is very beautiful, the food is good and the people are friendly. Almost every person that I met over the past three years speaks English. The people make you feel welcome and there is a real international feel to the Netherlands. The Netherlands are a truly international study destination.
